Terms of Article Manuscript Publication
For publication in the journal of socio-humanitarian research "Al-Farabi" articles that have not been previously published in the press and are of an original author's spirit are accepted.
The journal accepts articles on the thematic focus of the journal, written in Kazakh, Russian and English and formatted in accordance with the requirements of the journal (See: Guide for Authors).
Article manuscript must be uploaded to the journal's website by author (s) independently indicating the full name, country and city, place of work, position, academic degree, title. In the case of co-authorship, the main author is indicated first, the author is marked with a (*) for correspondence.
An article submitted by author individually or in co-authorship cannot be published more than once during a calendar year.
Authors have to submit for publication articles of an original nature, excluding plagiarism and self-plagiarism. They are also responsible for accuracy of the facts and data presented, novelty of the results obtained and the evidence base.
When submitting an article to the journal, author in a covering letter undertakes obligations confirming the originality of the work, the fact that it has not previously been published in print, electronic and other open sources, as well as the obligation not to provide it for subsequent publication in other issues.
Communication of the editorial board with author and reviewers at the stage of consideration of manuscript for publication is carried out via an electronic platform, in some cases - via e-mail.
The process of considering manuscripts received from authors by the editorial board of the journal, organizing their review, making a decision on publication / rejection is carried out within three months from the date of registration on the site.
Initially, manuscript of submitted article is checked for compliance with the requirements of formatting a scientific article in the journal "Al-Farabi" (See: Guide for Authors), as well as plagiarism checks.
Borrowing and Plagiarism
When a manuscript of an article is submitted to the editorial board of the journal "Al-Farabi", an examination is carried out for the presence of borrowings in article text by checking for plagiarism. The journal has access to the anti-plagiarism system StrikePlagiarism.com (https://strikeplagiarism.com), provided by a subscription.
Direct borrowing of text without attribution, theses, and statements of other authors cited without references, i.e. plagiarism is considered by the editorial board as a violation of the ethical code of a scientist, as a violation of intellectual property rights. Plagiarism is incompatible with the editorial policy of the journal.
The editorial board of the journal and everyone who is involved in the scientific part of preparing manuscript for publication undertakes to comply with ethical principles and norms in scientific publishing, guided by the legal documents of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies, regulating the activities of scientists in relation to compliance with the norms, standards and principles of scientific ethics (See: Publication ethics).
For the further procedure of passing manuscript for publication, articles with the text originality at least 75% are accepted. If this norm is exceeded, article manuscript is rejected, a correspondence about the reason for rejection of article is sent to author. The author has the right to re-submit this article in case of correction, revision and making appropriate changes, in accordance with the rules for submitting an article to the journal through the electronic platform of the journal.
In case of detection of plagiarism in an article accepted by the editorial board and published in the journal, it is removed from the issue and placed on the official website of the journal with the notification of readers about this in the next issue of the journal. The author (s) of the article are not allowed to submit an article to the journal within three years from the date of revealing the fact of violation of the ethical behavior of a scientist.
