Abstract

The article analyzes the dialectical nature of the “ability of judgment”, as it is presented in Kant’s philosophy. The “ability of judgment” is the actual mind as it is, a purely specific thinking, an independent search for an application of a general rule to a separate case, therefore there is inevitably a dialectic of generic, specific and single. Thus, the “ability of judgment” indicates the presence of the actual dialectical type of thinking in the depths of human mind itself. The work of the “ability of judgment” in the moral self-determination of man is considered. Attention is focused on philosophical and pedagogical significance of the “ability of judgment” formation.
