Abstract

The article highlights the philosophy of man Abu Nasr al-Farabi and shows that the philosophical system of al-Farabi is holistic teaching about the great mission of man in the world. The article emphasizes the position of al-Farabi that a person, endowed with an independent will and choice, is the center of a worldview structure and a transformer of the universe, which is based on amazing harmony by the Creator of the Universe.

The author believes that, despite the complexity of the development of the vast heritage of Al-Farabi, in everyday life and, in practice, can be applied certain aspects of his teachings, to "know ourselves" and the limits of their capabilities. As a guide to using in human everyday life are the teachings of al-Farabi about "a skillful technique with the help of which we can acquire a good disposition" is cited; about "measure", or "golden mean"; and also teaching that produces tangible results – the teaching of "knowledge and action". The article gets justification thesis al-Farabi that in order to achieve their higher purpose – happiness – a person must not only acquire knowledge but also cultivate in accordance with the acquired knowledge and work, realizing their knowledge and potential capacity in reality.
