This article is devoted to the study of the problems of adaptation and integration of repatriates in Kazakhstan. The study is based on the results of a documentary analysis of regulatory acts in the field of migration, as well as a content analysis of media and social networks, which allows for a deeper understanding of the practical application of legislation. An important part of the work involves field research conducted in the form of narrative biographical interviews with repatriates in three regions of Kazakhstan: Almaty region (Esik town), East Kazakhstan region (Shygys village), and North Kazakhstan region (Sergeevka village). The findings of the article highlight the main problems and challenges faced by kandas in the process of integration into Kazakhstani society and can serve as a basis for further research and practical recommendations.
