Abstract

During the period of global development of digital information technologies, the Islamic world is looking for a suitable response to modern challenges. Due to the fact that major changes are taking place in the spiritual, cultural, social and political life of Muslims, this period is called the post-religious period. Kazakhstan cannot remain aloof from this requirement of the time; it will be necessary to scientifically determine the direction of development of the Islamic religion, which is followed by the majority of the population. To do this, first of all, along with the historical features of traditional Islam, it is necessary to study its ontological and axiological meanings and significance for society in the new reality. The article analyzes the relationship between value orientation and legalism in Islam.
