Abstract

This article examines the importance of the role of the media in the formation of mass consciousness. The ХХІ st century is the century of information technology. About 80 percent of the world's population are Internet users. The media are one of the most powerful and destructive forces influencing the religious consciousness of people from the outside. In fact, public consciousness depends not only on the level of its own thought field, but also on external factors. The influence of internal and external factors, the collective power of individual consciousness shapes the religious mass consciousness of the people. The change and development of the mass religious consciousness of broad sections of the population is directly related to the rapid progress of scientific technology.
